The Show
The studio's first film with a voice in it. Six bodies gather at a fire on a stone plain, sit down on stools, and work out that between them they have brought a bean thing that moves, a mineral broth, a leaf, a bottle of something dangerous, a handful of rocks and a large quantity of confidence.
The only edible object at the potluck turns out to be the decoration, and the only one willing to find that out is the visitor. Five shots, thirty-seven lines, and one apple.
Everything in frame was built for it: the stools, the table, the mugs and the apple are our own geometry and our own textures, the fire flickers on the world's own clock, and each body's seat was measured against its own bones rather than typed, so a body too small for a stool dangles and a body too tall sits with its knees up.
